The NIH Director highlighted our microneedle patch influenza vaccine study in his blog dated May 31, 2018. The microneedle patch was developed by biomedical engineers at Georgia Tech University (our collaborators). We were funded by a five-year NIH research grant. The first in-humans clinical trial and Ab assays were performed at the Hope Clinic of the Emory Vaccine Center. The work was published in the Lancet in 2017. Dr. Nadine Rouphael led the Hope Clinic team for this clinical trial.
